I'm fascinated by how people and their environment interact, and how even small changes can completely shift perception. For me, one simple principle runs through all of it: design shapes behaviour, how carefully we handle a coat, how we move through a room, is often decided by the design itself.
My path began in carpentry, training as a Tischlergeselle, continued through studying Craft Design at the Akademie für Handwerksdesign Gut Rosenberg, and leads to my current Master's in Contextual Design at Design Academy Eindhoven.
My design process therefore never begins with material, but with a close observation of the system and situation a piece will later exist in. I never understand functionality as action alone, but always also as sensory perception and feeling. I design objects with the same passion as spaces, because for me every object is the condensed expression of deep research, not the result of a quick idea.
My most important source of inspiration remains nature. Its forms, colours and materials becoming a design language of my own, documented among other things in my own pattern language, W-01 LIQUID. In 2026, this way of working was confirmed as a Finalist at the Green Concept Award, Green Product Award.
My work has been featured editorially by Home Design, among others. This practice is carried by RAFT, the design collective I founded in 2025, and by a growing network of workshops and manufacturers I collaborate with. As part of Orgatec and IDD, Design Post Cologne presents my work as part of "New Voices," a format for a new generation of designers working between craft, material research and contemporary design.
